Posted May 23, 2018 12:23:53A lot of people are asking about Connor McNeilson, the 17-year-old who won the Stanley Cup with the Pittsburgh Penguins last season.
McNeilson has been one of the NHL’s top offensive players for most of the past two seasons and he is expected to start in goal for the Colorado Avalanche on Thursday.
He has a big shot and a quick first step, but his shot is inconsistent and he has a history of concussion issues.
McNeil has also played in four exhibition games with the Montreal Canadiens and the Colorado Rockies this season.
Here’s a look at what McNeils future holds: McNeils first season with the Avalanche in 2015-16 was marred by injuries to top center Logan Couture and defenseman Chris Bigras.
McDavid has played in every NHL game in each of his first two seasons with the Avs, posting a 20-25-2 record with a 2.69 goals-against average and a .917 save percentage.
He had a 1.75 goals-per-game average in 2016-17.
