A couple of weeks ago, I wrote a post about how to design custom shoes using Photoshop.
The post was met with a lot of interest and some questions, which I answered in a follow-up post.
Today, I’m happy to share with you a set of quick tips and tricks for designing a custom sneaker using Photoshop that I’ve put together.
Start with a simple concept.
In the original post, I shared the first steps to designing a customized shoe using SketchUp and Photoshop.
Here are a few ideas to get you started: 1) Choose a color scheme.
The colors you pick for your shoe are going to be your primary color palette.
You can also try to pick a background color or use some sort of gradient color.
If you want to use something that’s unique, you could pick an existing design or a logo.
2) Create a simple shape.
Create a shape using either Photoshop or SketchUp.
For example, if you want a shoe that’s just wide on the heel and narrow on the side, you might create a shoe with a rounded heel, a curved toe, and a straight toe.
3) Pick a color.
I like to use a gradient color on my shoes.
If the gradient color you choose looks really nice on your shoes, you can add it to the background or to the shoe itself.
4) Make sure that your shoe looks nice.
I love using a gradient background on my sneakers because it makes them look like they’re from an art gallery.
But if you don’t want to add a lot to your shoes or you don’ like the gradient colors, you’ll probably want to go with a neutral color.
5) Pick an image.
You should definitely pick a photo for your design.
I always try to take inspiration from different artists to help me get my ideas down.
You might find some inspiration from famous street artists, fashion models, or even a cat.
6) Create your shoe.
When you’re finished designing your shoe, you should probably add some text to your design, like “This is a custom version of a shoe.”
This will make your design stand out and make it stand out from your other shoes.
7) Create the heel.
Once you’ve got your shoe designed, you want it to look good.
To do that, you need to create a simple heel shape.
This is the area of your shoe that the heel should be.
I find that it’s easiest to create my heel shape using the Sketchup tool and then fill it in with a small rectangle.
8) Create some padding.
To add some padding to your shoe to make it look more modern, you may want to create some padding around the foot.
9) Add an embroidery pattern.
This will help you stand out in your design and make the shoe more modern.
10) Create an extra heel.
If your shoe is just wide and narrow, you dont really need to add an extra foot.
Instead, use the same basic shape as your main shoe and fill it with some embroideric patterns.
11) Create more details.
You’ll probably find that you can make your shoes even more stylish by adding more details to your designs.
For instance, you’ve created a logo for your custom shoe and you want your shoe with the same logo to look more contemporary.
12) Create text.
Text is something you’ll want to make sure to include in your designs if possible.
13) Create design elements.
You may want a logo or a design element for your shoes to stand out.
For a logo, you probably want something that is very bold, and you may use something like a logo with a bold background.
14) Add some accessories.
If you don´t have any accessories, you shouldn’t have any trouble creating some nice accessories.
I used some cheap earrings from Amazon to make a nice earring holder for my custom shoes.
It’s very easy to add accessories to your custom shoes, so don’t worry about it too much.
15) Add a few buttons.
If there are a lot buttons on your custom sneakers, you’d probably want a few small buttons so that they can be easily found.
16) Add text to the footprint.
You could add some lines to the toe of your shoes that you put in the same way you put some text on the shoe.
17) Create embroideried details.
The best part of all of this is that the design you create will look amazing on your sneakers.
18) Create buttons on the outside of your sneakers, too.
This way, you have the option to add buttons to your sneakers or to other parts of your design to make them more unique.
19) Create different colors for the heel, heel strap, and footprint elements.
This can make it easier to distinguish your shoes from other designs. 20
